Kalisz. Arrested for beating up a bus driver

He noticed the argument and stood up for the man who was calling for help. Moments later, he was beaten. Kalisz criminal detained suspects of beating the bus driver. These are three men aged 17, 21 and 29.

The incident happened last week in Kalisz. – In the evening, after parking the bus, the 30-year-old noticed a group of three people arguing. As one of the men called for help, the driver decided to react and help the stranger. The attackers got scared and ran away – said the press officer of the Kalisz police, senior asp. Anna Jaworska-Wojnicz.

A moment later, when the 30-year-old was busy helping a stranger, a group of people ran up to him. The driver was knocked over and then beaten by three assailants who later fled.

After finishing work, the man reported to the Hospital Emergency Department, where he was provided with help. The next day, he reported the incident to the police.

Stopped after 48 hours

After two days, investigators identified and detained the suspects. They turned out to be three men aged 17, 21 and 29. They’ve all been charged. For the crime they have committed, they are liable to imprisonment for 3 years. The District Prosecutor’s Office in Kalisz applied a preventive measure in the form of police supervision to all suspects, Jaworska-Wojnicz reported. An incident involving a man assisted by a 30-year-old man will be dealt with separately.
