Police are looking for a cyclist who ran into a five-year-old boy walking with his parents on the sidewalk and then drove off. The incident took place on July 11 around 6 pm on Górnośląska Street in Kalisz, near the intersection with Legionów Street.

– According to the preliminary findings of the police, a five-year-old boy walking on the sidewalk with his parents was hit by a cyclist. The man stopped after the incident, but left before the police arrived, said Deputy Commissioner Anna Jaworska-Wojnicz, press officer of the Kalisz police.

A boy with serious injuries, the police are looking for a cyclist

The boy was hospitalized. His injuries require treatment for more than seven days. According to the Kalisz24 Info portal, he has lower limb injuries, he had to undergo surgery.

– We are investigating this traffic accident. We are trying to establish the identity of the perpetrator – emphasized Jaworska-Wojnicz.

It turned out that the cyclist was recorded by surveillance cameras.
