High water levels were recorded in the Zadrna River, in the town of Czadrów, and flooding was reported locally. Concerned residents called the fire brigade on Sunday. At night, firefighters tried to unclog the river bed.
The fire brigade was called
– We received a call about a traffic jam on the bridge and flooding of a nearby meadow, which also threatens nearby houses. Our task was to unblock this bridge – said Krzysztof Zarzecki from the Fire Department in Kamienna Góra in an interview with a TVN24 reporter. However, he admitted that firefighters would not be able to do it alone, an excavator would be needed.
Additionally, the district office sent warning messages to residents about high water levels on the Bóbr River.
In the area of the town of Czadrów, in the catchment area of Bóbr and Zb. Pilchowice, there is a second-degree hydrological warning issued by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management.
According to forecasters, due to forecasted snowfall and subsequent rainfall in warmer conditions, rainfall and meltwater runoff and increases in water levels are expected. They may be violent in places, in the high water zone, in places exceeding warning levels or occurring in the zone above warning levels. On the lower section of Czarna Woda (left-side tributary of the lower Kaczawa) and on Kamienica in Barcinek, the alarm level is expected to be exceeded again with an increasing tendency.
