About 300 passengers of the Warsaw-Berlin train were evacuated after unknown perpetrators tried to steal elements of the traction network and damaged it. The incident took place in the commune of Bedlno near Kutno (Łódź Voivodeship). – After about an hour, the passengers left on their way in a substituted train – reports the police.

The incident took place on the night of May 15 in the commune of Bedlno near Kutno. The services received information about a train that stopped in the middle of nowhere due to a catenary failure. There were about 300 passengers in the train.

Police: Someone tried to steal the catenary

– Just before 1 a.m. we received an order to go to Kamilew in the Bedlno commune, where someone tried to steal the traction network. As a result, the network was damaged, and the Warsaw-Berlin train stood in the middle of nowhere and it was necessary to evacuate about 300 passengers to the second train, which went on its way from another track – reports junior asp. The police officer adds that no one was hurt and after about an hour the substituted train went on with passengers. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified by the Kutno police.
