A car collided with a cyclist in the village of Karczew. The woman was injured, she was unconscious. A helicopter from the Polish Medical Air Rescue was ordered to the site.
The reporter of tvnwarszawa.pl, Mateusz Szmelter, found out about the incident. He reported that the accident took place at the intersection of Mickiewicza and Piłsudskiego streets in Karczew, in the district of Otwock.
– I confirm that there was a collision between a passenger car and a cyclist in Karczewo. A helicopter of the Polish Medical Air Rescue was ordered to the injured woman. The woman will be transported to the hospital. There are traffic difficulties on the spot – said Monika Nawrat from the Warsaw Police Headquarters after 5 p.m.
On September 1, paramedics launched a nationwide protest against low wages and poor working conditions. Some of them did not come to work or took the minimum number of shifts. That is why LPR helicopters are sent from Wednesday to many events in and around Warsaw. Last Friday, an air ambulance landed in the very center of Warsaw, at Plac Konstytucji.
On Monday, “17 rescue teams reported no readiness”
As the press office of the Masovian Voivode informed us, 17 medical rescue teams, including 13 from Warsaw, reported lack of readiness in Mazovia on Monday.
“Despite the shortcomings in the teams, all calls were met. There were no long waiting times for the implementation of the report. Due to the absence of personnel, the activities of the EMS team secured the crews from other regions. Each report is immediately forwarded to the rescue units for implementation” – we read in a statement from the press team voivode.
It was also recalled that the voivode asked the minister of national defense “with a request to delegate soldiers of the Polish Army with the qualifications of a paramedic or a nurse (…) to provide duty in 40 medical rescue teams from 2 to 16 September this year. extension until September 30 “.
