The man in cardiac arrest was first resuscitated by witnesses, and then rescuers of the Mountain Volunteer Rescue Service and the crew of the LPR helicopter. Other tourists also needed help.
The duty rescuer received a report about a tourist who fainted on the blue trail in the area of Kozi Mostek on Saturday around 14:30. A group of GOPR rescuers rushed to the site immediately. Before their arrival, the man was resuscitated by witnesses using a defibrillator from a nearby hunting lodge.
An LPR helicopter from Opole was called to the scene and the victim was transported to the hospital.

Another group of rescuers went to the area of Szklarska Poręba, where the tourist broke his leg, and to Śnieżne Kotły, where the report concerned a limb injury. After dark, rescuers brought tourists from Śnieżka.
According to Piotr Zamorski, head of the Karkonosze Mountain Rescue Group, 15 rescuers went to Śnieżne Kotły due to the difficult-to-reach area, where a fatal accident happened a month ago.
