Unknown persons fired at the city stadium in Krakow during the match between Wisła Kraków and GKS Tychy. The case is being investigated by the police, who have initially ruled out that a weapon with live ammunition was used. – Shot cartridges could have been fired – says a spokesman for the City Headquarters.
The incident allegedly took place around 7 p.m. At that time, Wisła Kraków, which was playing against GKS Tychy in the 1st league, was playing at the Henryk Reyman city stadium. According to local media, unknown perpetrators shot at the facility, broke the windows and destroyed the façade.
Police proceedings
The press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Krakow, Commissioner Piotr Szpiech, informs that the officers received a report on this matter before 7 p.m. – We received a report about damage to the facade of the city stadium from the side of Jordan Park. The police confirmed this fact on the spot, we conducted an inspection and secured the evidence. Fortunately, no one was injured. The losses were initially estimated at PLN 6,000, says the policeman.

He adds: – We will explain how the damage occurred during the proceedings. We have initially ruled out that it was a sharp weapon, but we do not rule out the possibility that pellets could have been fired. An expert will be appointed to give an opinion on this matter. The initial qualification accepted is property damage.
The match between Wisła Kraków and GKS Tychy ended in a goalless draw.
