Karol Nawrocki about a loan for Mr. Jerzy: he didn't have to pay me money

Karol Nawrocki assessed that “it did not matter”, which was written in the loan agreement between him and Jerzy Ż., Because the man “never had to return this loan or transfer” no financial resources “to him. He referred to reports on granting a senior loan of PLN 12,000 at 20 percent per year.

On Thursday, “Gazeta Wyborcza” wrote that Nawrocki in 2010 borrowed Jerzy Ż., Senior from whom he took over the studio in Gdańsk and was to look after him for life, and who eventually went to a social welfare home – PLN 12,000 at 20 percent per year “for the purchase of a municipal apartment”. The fact that Nawrocki granted such a loan was also determined by the journalist of TVN “Facts” Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska. She estimated that the rate was also high in combination with the financial problems of Mr. Jerzy and the fact that he had occupied a municipal apartment until now. He even pointed to his difficult life situation himself Karol Nawrockiclaiming that his help was selfless.

Nawrocki: The provisions of the contract did not matter

Candidate PIS Asked on Thursday at Polsat News if the loan was actually interest at 20 percent, he said that in the loan agreement “it didn't matter what was written there” because Jerzy Ż. “He never had to return this loan or transfer” no financial resources “to him. He added that there was one direction of the flow of financial resources. “From me to Mr. Jerzy,” he added. He also repeated that in this case “he has nothing to complain about.”

When asked why the contract was included in the 20 % interest rate, since he claims that the entries did not matter, Nawrocki replied that – according to him and his lawyers – it was “the percentage of interest rates at the time on the market”. – So it probably resulted from some legal and formal issues – he added.

According to Nawrocki, the contract was assumed that Jerzy Ż. He will never return his funds. The findings of “GW” supported by PiS called the candidate “another scandal, completely funny and frivolous”.

When asked whether he tried to contact the senior, Nawrocki replied that he had tried to call him many times, but “the phone was of course turned off, it is not known where this phone is”. As he declared, after the presidential campaign “for his good, after what was done in this matter both to me and Mr. Jerzy, I will definitely visit him.”

20 percent loan

The loan agreement was signed on February 15, 2010. The journalist of “Facts” TVN determined that interest was to be, according to the contract, charged immediately after signing the document, i.e. from February 15, 2010. The refund of the loan and interest was to be made within only 30 days from the moment Karol Nawrocki as the lender would demand it. “Not only did he get a flat, he also wanted to earn on a loan,” added Kolenda -Zaleska.

“Gazeta Wyborcza” in an article by Krzysztof Katka said that in 2010 the average taxation of mortgage loans was about 5 percent, and cash loans – from 8.4 to 17.5 percent. Added to this was the bank's commission. “Jerzy Ż. Not only had no creditworthiness, but he also lacked money for basic needs, so how could he pay off such high interest to Karol Nawrocki?” – written.

On Thursday, Karol Nawrocki was asked about a loan by a TVN24 reporter, drowned out by a crowd of PiS supporters. The journalist wanted to find out, among others, what were the rules of the loan granted. The candidate ironized, but he did not refer to this issue. Instead, he repeated that he took care of Mr. Jerzy and paid for a flat for him.

Adam Krajewski reported the TVN24 reporter, three notifications related to the case of Nawrocki's apartment have already been received by the prosecutor's office. As part of the proceedings, the loan agreement concluded with Mr. Jerzy will most likely be examined.

On Monday, before the debate of President's candidates, Nawrocki published a video on the network, which contained another version of his translations on a studio apartment in Gdańsk. He mentioned a loan in it. – In 2010 he asked me for a loan to buy out to make the monthly costs lower. The matter of its sale appeared only a year later – said Nawrocki.
