– This is the first case in history that an arrest warrant is issued for a member of parliament, but above all a former deputy minister of justice – said Katarzyna Kotula, Minister for Equality, in “Fakty po Faktach” about the prosecutor's office's decision in the case of Marcin Romanowski. The matter was also referred to in “Kropka nad i” by Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President, Andrzej Dera.

Former deputy minister of justice in the PiS government Marcin Romanowski he has been wanted since Thursday on an arrest warrant after the court issued a decision on his temporary arrest. So far, the police have not been able to determine the MP's whereabouts PIS.

Romanowski wanted

Katarzyna Kotula, speculating where the former deputy minister might be hiding, said that “it is probably not the Presidential Palace, because there is no more space there.”

– You have to decide whether you are a former politician, a former deputy minister of justice who has honor (…) or whether you are a gangster, a criminal who tries to avoid responsibility – she further commented.

“He thought he was being persecuted”

Monika Olejnik's guest in “Kropka nad i” was Andrzej Dera from the Chancellery of the President, who also commented on the case of the former deputy minister. When asked whether he complied with the law by hiding from the police, Dera replied that “it was Mr. Romanowski's decision” and “he himself will bear the consequences.”

– Apparently (…) he decided that he was being persecuted in Poland and that's why he was hiding, he said. – In my opinion, he is being persecuted because there was not the slightest reason to arrest him – added Dera. Collaborator president he also said that in his opinion “the authorities are fixated on showing the public that the opposition is in prison.”
