Kathy Griffin is formally most cancers free.
The 61-year-old comic shared the information through the Nov. 30 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Whereas explaining why her voice sounded totally different, Griffin mentioned she had lung surgical procedure a couple of months in the past.
“In August, I had half of my left lung eliminated. I am not even kidding,” she mentioned. “Now, they, like, put the intubation tube to drop by my vocal twine. So now I am, like, Minnie Mouse meets Marilyn Monroe, I am undecided.”
When Jimmy Kimmel requested if the medical doctors bought “all of the lung most cancers out of there,” Griffin confirmed, “Sure! So I am most cancers free.”
Griffin knowledgeable her followers of her surgery and stage 1 lung cancer battle in an August Instagram post, urging them to “keep updated in your medical checkups” and that “it’s going to save your life.”
“I had, like, a tumor, proper? And I’ve by no means smoked,” she informed Kimmel. “And it was in there for 10 years. So get this: They took it out, they usually discovered it, like, one other scan. All proper, so I’m going in.”
