On Thursday, September 12, the officer on duty at the Border Guard Post in Katowice-Pyrzowice received information about a passenger who was causing a riot on a plane from Tenerife (Spain).
Special Intervention Team officers boarded the plane and the crew identified a 33-year-old Pole who smelled of alcohol.
He calmed down when they got on board.
“The man did not follow the crew's instructions, pushed one person, recorded the stewardess on his phone, and was rude. After the officers appeared, he calmed down and began to follow the orders. A breathalyzer test conducted in the service premises showed that the man had approximately 0.84 per mille of alcohol in the exhaled air,” the Silesian Border Guard Division reported in a statement.
The traveler was accompanied by his partner, who declared in writing that she would take care of him. In connection with this, the border guards issued him a summons to appear at their post in Katowice.
