Police officers noticed a man in Katowice who was crossing the road on a red light. When they wanted to identify him, he started running away. They finally found him under a food truck. It turned out that he was a 24-year-old resident of Mysłowice, wanted on a warrant to serve a prison sentence for a crime committed two years ago.
On Wednesday, after dark, on Aleja Korfantego in the center of Katowice, police officers noticed a man who did not comply with the traffic lights and crossed the road on a red light. When they approached him to check his ID for a traffic offense, the man began to run away. He ran towards the mobile catering outlets that were set up in the Katowice market.
The police gave chase. “When the fugitive realized that he had no chance of escaping, he decided to hide under one of the food trucks. However, this did not help him avoid legal consequences, because the police quickly located his hiding place” – we read in the police release.
