Children from Warsaw were supposed to go to Silesia. Meanwhile, the bus they were traveling in got stuck in Kąty Węgierske – a town north of Warsaw. The bus driver was examined in the ambulance and another one will replace him.
Artur Węgrzynowicz, a reporter for tvnwarszawa.pl, found out that in the town of Kąty Węgierskie there was a bus parked across the road. The vehicle got stuck when trying to turn around. – There are 45 children aged 10 to 13 on the bus. The responding firefighters were concerned by the driver’s behavior. He is being examined in the ambulance. They are waiting for the police to arrive. According to the first information, the bus left Warsaw, in front of the National Stadium, and was supposed to go to Silesia. The bus driver is sober, Węgrzynowicz said.
– The services do not know why the bus was in the forest in Kąty Węgierskie – he added.
“The driver felt bad”
We asked the fire brigade about the incident. – The driver felt unwell and medical assistance was called. He was examined by paramedics. He will be replaced by another driver. If the situation continues, the children will temporarily go to the community center in Kąty Węgierskie. The trip left Warsaw and was supposed to go to Silesia, said junior brigadier Łukasz Szulborski from the fire brigade in Legionowo.
We asked the police about the unusual situation. – Initial information shows that the driver fainted. He was tested for sobriety and was sober. The bus will continue or is already continuing with another driver, said Małgorzata Wersocka from the Warsaw Police Headquarters.
