On one of the streets in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, a marked police car overtook a car slowing down before a pedestrian crossing. The police car did not have light and sound signals turned on.

The event took place on August 13 in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, on Miła Street. The driver who had recorded the situation slowed down in front of the lanes to let the cyclists waiting on the bicycle lane on the right hand pass.

Then, with considerable speed, a police car overtook him on the left, which had no light and sound signals. When the police car hit the crossing, it was still in the opposite lane. A few seconds later, two women on bicycles and a teenager on a scooter appeared on the belts.

What police position?

We asked both the Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Opole police to explain this situation. We called and sent e-mails with questions. We are waiting for answer.

We asked driving instructor Leszek Pławiak to comment on this situation. – Unreasonable behavior of policemen. We must demand even more of them. When the driver of a police vehicle overtakes on a double continuous line, directly in front of a pedestrian crossing, it is a very dangerous situation, he says.
