The downpour that passed over Kędzierzyn-Koźle on Sunday flooded the Emergency Department of the district hospital. Patients were urged to seek help in other facilities. The railway station in Brzeg managed to resume traffic after a break caused by a failure of control devices.

On Sunday, until 8 p.m., firefighters responded to nearly 50 interventions related to flooded properties after the downpours that hit the Opole Voivodeship. In the district hospital in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, the Emergency Department and rooms where night and holiday health care are provided were flooded. Patient admissions have been temporarily suspended. Firefighters are on site helping to remove water from the building. The hospital authorities appeal to patients to seek help in other facilities.

IN Brzeg traffic control devices at the railway station were damaged. Initially there was traffic on the route OpoleWroclaw was suspended. According to Karol Jakubowski from the PKP PLK press office, trains can now pass through Brzeg, but train delays can reach up to 60 minutes.

Earlier, the officer on duty from the Provincial Fire Department Headquarters in Opole informed that two trains had been stopped due to a failure of the traction network at the station in Brzeg.
