Kelly Clarkson Seemingly Calls Out Ex Brandon Blackstock in New Songs

Kelly Clarkson is completely tremendous being Miss Unbiased. 

Someday earlier than the discharge of her two new singles “Me” and “Mine,” from her 10th studio album Chemistry, the American Idol alum shared the lyrics to the tracks—which each seem like about getting over a breakup. Alongside emojis of a wine glass, damaged coronary heart and solar, Kelly wrote on Instagram April 13, “Listed here are the lyrics so y’all can be taught them earlier than it is out.”

On “Me,” Kelly sings about dropping her identification throughout a very troublesome relationship.

“Liked you a lot / Took a military to drag me up,” the lyrics reads. “However now on the opposite aspect / I remembered I might fly.”

And the refrain of the tune seemingly references Kelly’s 2015 single “Piece by Piece,” a track about then-husband Brandon Blackstock the place she sings that he “stuffed the holes” left by her own parents’ divorce.

“I do not want anyone to carry me / Do not want anyone to like me / Do not want anyone to choose these items up,” the 40-year-old sings on her newest monitor. “I put collectively my damaged / Let go of the ache I have been holdin’ / Need not want anyone / After I obtained me.”
