Kety. The beaten senior was lying next to the block, the attacker stole his wallet and ran away

A 26-year-old man, who in Kęty (Małopolskie Voivodeship) beat up a senior and stole his wallet with money, was charged with robbery, which is punishable by up to 12 years in prison. The attacker was under lock and key an hour after the incident.

The young man attacked the 68-year-old on Monday evening. The beaten senior was lying next to one of the blocks. Witnesses to the incident alerted the police and, together with them, provided first aid to the victim. Paramedics were called and treated the 68-year-old.

“Witnesses said that when the victim fell on the pavement after the attack, the attacker stole his wallet and ran away. They described his appearance and indicated the road where he was fleeing. After an hour of intensive activities, the police detained a 26-year-old from Kęty. He was locked up. There were several hundred in the wallet zlotys – said staff officer Małgorzata Jurecka, spokeswoman for the police in Oświęcim.

The police officer added that based on the evidence collected, the suspect was charged with robbery. He faces up to 12 years in prison
