A 10-year-old boy was killed as a result of Russian shelling of Kharkov on Friday. His 67-year-old grandmother is also dead. Numerous people were injured.
The number of people injured in the attack increased to 30. Among the injured was an 11-month-old baby. The mayor of the city, Ihor Terehov, announced that two bodies had been pulled out from under the rubble – a 67-year-old woman and her 10-year-old grandson.
A search and rescue operation is underway at the scene of the incident, said the head of the Kharkiv region, Oleh Synehubov, in messages published on Telegram. He reported that the number of injured had increased to 30.

The Russians attacked Kharkov on Friday morning. As a result of the shelling, two multi-story residential buildings and a private house were damaged.

According to the Ukrainian police, the Russians used two Iskander missiles for the attacks.

Attack on Hroza
The day before, on Thursday, Russian troops they shelled the town of Hroza in the Kupany district (district) of the Kharkov region, located 86 km east of the regional capital. The missile hit a shop and a cafe where local civilians gathered for a wake after the funeral of one of the village’s inhabitants. More than 50 people were killed and at least seven were injured.
Kharkov, the second largest city Ukrainewith a population of nearly 1.5 million before the invasion, is located approximately 40 km from the border with Russia.
