A woman who was driving passengers around Kielce (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship) had more than one per mille of alcohol in her body. The 35-year-old driver of a public transport vehicle was stopped by the police at the bus terminus.

On Thursday after 5 a.m., police officers received an anonymous report about a city bus driver who may be under the influence of alcohol. The patrol went to the bus terminus in the Ślichowice estate in Kielce, where they subjected the 35-year-old to a breathalyzer test. The woman turned out to be intoxicated.

Police: drunk driver took a passenger on board

According to the police, the examination showed that a 35-year-old employee of the Public Transport Authority has more than the legal limit of alcohol in her body. “According to our information, she had previously taken one passenger on board.” The ZTM dispatcher was informed about the incident, who sent another driver to the place – said tvn24.pl junior assistant Małgorzata Perkowska-Kiepas, spokeswoman for the Kielce police.

The woman told the police that she had not been drinking alcohol. Her blood was drawn for further testing. – The 35-year-old will be responsible for driving while intoxicated – informed Perkowska-Kiepas. The police officer points out that the case will be investigated under the supervision of the prosecutor, and the woman may face other charges.
