The Equality March passed through Kielce for the fourth time. This year, its motto is “It’s time for Equal Poland”.
The organizer of the event, as before, is the Equality Province Association. The honorary patronage over the march was taken by the Mayor of Kielce, Bogdan Wenta, as well as European Commission in Poland.
– We are following the slogan “It’s time for equal Poland”, because we want everyone in Poland to be treated the same in terms of the law, but not only. So that there is more empathy – said Artur Stawecki, co-organizer of the march.

“To Celebrate Diversity”
The organizers of the march emphasize that the event is not only an expression of support for all those who face exclusion and discrimination based on gender identity or psychosexual orientation. It is also an objection to economic exclusion and an expression of support for women whose rights are violated.
– Of course, we are going to fight for equality, but we are also going to celebrate diversity and that everyone in Poland can be welcome. That we are also here, we want to be visible, so that every inhabitant of Kielce can feel at home in the city – explained Katarzyna Kędzierska, co-organizer of the march.

The march started after 2 p.m. from Staszica Park, and its route was about five kilometers long. – But we will go slowly and surely everyone will manage – the organizer assured before the start of the event.
The march ended symbolically in front of the Registry Office in Kielce. Thus the community LGBT+ wants to emphasize the importance of marriage equality, for which its members are still fighting in Poland.
A similar march also passed through Gorzów Wielkopolski on Saturday.
