A indictment was brought to the court in Kielce (Świętokrzyskie) against Adrian M., suspected of attempting to cause serious damage to health and stalking. The man, as established by the prosecutor’s office, harassed a resident of Kielce, among other things, by following and intruding her.
The investigation of the Kielce-West District Prosecutor’s Office lasted from mid-June. Investigators found that Adrian M. persistently harassed a resident of the city. The 23-year-old called the woman against her will and sent her text messages, followed and came over her. According to the findings of the prosecutor’s office, this had been going on since April, and on June 16, M. attacked the woman.
– Adrian M. was following the victim, and at one point he attacked her, punching her in the face and causing a violation of her bodily integrity – said Daniel Prokopowicz, spokesman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Kielce.
One of the men nearby stood in defense of the victim. First, Adrian M. was to threaten him with death, and when that did not work, he attacked him with a knife.
– The victim sustained minor injuries, inter alia, of the left eye. Adrian M. fled the scene, but was captured by the policemen. After the arrest, he directed threats to kill another man who witnessed the incident, the prosecutor reported.
The prosecutor presented Adrian M. a total of five charges: stalking, violation of bodily inviolability, forcing by unlawful threat to conduct specific behavior, attempting to cause serious damage to health by violating the functions of an organ of the body for a period of less than seven days, directing threats of deprivation of life.
– Adrian M. did not plead guilty to the charges against him, he made explanations that contradicted the findings made on the basis of other evidence – Prokopowicz emphasized.
The accused, who has been temporarily arrested from the date of the incident, faces up to 20 years in prison.
