King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands has weighed in on the continued scandal surrounding Kate Middleton‘s Photoshop flub by joking about it throughout a March 14 occasion in Zutphen. 

In a video shared to X, formerly Twitter, Willem-Alexander responded to a younger woman who advised the king she owned a photograph of him and his household by quipping, “At the very least I did not photoshop it.”

The remark, which drew laughs from the adults current on the occasion, references the continued Photoshop scandal the British royal household has discovered itself in over the previous few days. The controversy began when the Princess of Wales shared a photograph of herself, alongside along with her and Prince William‘s youngsters Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, to social media for U.Okay. Mother’s Day.

Nonetheless, hours later, it was pulled from prominent news organizations, including the Associated Press, for suspected manipulation. And after the photograph was killed—with retailers citing inconsistencies across the sleeve of Princess Charlotte’s sweater—Kate issued an announcement taking accountability for the photograph modifying.
