In the further part of the post we learn more about the sacrifices the journalist had to make while posing for photos with a mountain view. “I love rainbows, this colorful effect in the sky is divine! No wonder I was so impressed by the Rainbow Mountains in the Cuzco region, which we “conquered” after trekking at an altitude of 4800-5000m above sea level. That one mini jump for the photo cost me a lot. I felt like I had run 100 meters in a breathless sprint” – she wrote. “But the joy on my face is authentic. We were lucky again (which we organized ourselves) and we walked the entire trail alone. The mountains were ours alone! What struck me was the silence, interrupted only by gusts of wind. At this altitude there are no chirping birds, and alpacas move silently. All this plus unearthly views created an incredible atmosphere and an unforgettable experience” – she added then.
