Hollywood actress Natalie Wood was molested by Kirk Douglas, says her sister Lana Wood. The accusations were placed in the book “Little Sister”. In it she mentioned that it was only years later that she heard the sentence from Natalie: “he hurt me”. Michael Douglas responded to the news.

Lana Wood wrote her memoirs in Little Sister, which will be out on November 9. Kirk Douglas allegedly molested Natalie Wood in the summer of 1955, when she was 17, according to passages published by the Associated Press and cited by the BBC.

The assault was about to occur while Wood was shooting her western “The Searchers.”

“Something bad has obviously happened”

Lana Wood claims that the meeting of Hollywood stars took place at the famous Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles, and that Maria Zacharenko, the mother of the sisters, was to organize it. The woman hoped that Douglas would help the career of the young actress.

Douglas, then 39, was one of Hollywood’s most famous actors at the time. “It seemed like a long time before Natalie got back to the car. She woke me up by slamming the door,” Lana recalled.

“She looked terrible. She was disheveled and very nervous. My mother and I started whispering to each other. I couldn’t understand what they were saying. Apparently something bad happened to my sister” – she described. Lana was then eight years old.

In the book, she admitted that her sister and mother agreed that Douglas’ public accusation would ruin the career of an aspiring actress. She added that her sister told her about the incident years later. Lana was going to hear: “He hurt me.”
