Financial industry tycoon Klarna opens an innovation center in Warsaw. The company founded by Sebastian SiemiÄ…tkowski is one of many that want to invest in new technologies in Poland – we read in Monday's “Rzeczpospolita”.

As the daily writes, Klarna “whose value is estimated at approximately USD 15 billion, has plans to develop solutions in the area of ​​artificial intelligence and financial innovations there.”

“Over 100 engineers will find work in the center within a year,” the daily notes.

“Exceptional engineering talent, a thriving start-up scene and the strategic location of Warsaw make it an ideal choice for our new technology center,” says Sebastian SiemiÄ…tkowski, quoted by the newspaper.

The daily points out that Klarna was the first to introduce a large-scale service that allows you to postpone payments for online purchases by 30 or even 60 days.

“It currently serves over 85 million consumers and 600,000 sellers around the world, cooperating with, among others, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and even OpenAI,” we read.

In Poland, Klarna offers the Pay within 30 days service.
