A resident of Przasnysz (Masovian Voivodeship), driving an agricultural tractor, collided with a passenger car. – The high concentration of alcohol in his body certainly made it difficult for him to judge the distance. The test showed 3.9 per mille – said a junior spokeswoman for the Przasnysz police.
The incident took place on Thursday before noon in Klewki. At the scene, the police determined that the driver of the agricultural tractor, a 36-year-old resident of the Przasnysz commune, was turning left. However, he did not check whether he was being overtaken and caused a collision with a Skoda vehicle driven by a 25-year-old resident of the Białystok district.
“He shouldn’t be driving at all.”
– Luckily, no one was hurt in the road accident. The sobriety test of a 36-year-old man showed 3.9 per mille of alcohol in his body. Moreover, after checking the police database, it turned out that the 36-year-old perpetrator of the collision should not have been behind the wheel at all, due to his active driving ban – said junior trainee Ilona Cichocka, spokeswoman for the police in Przasnysz.

She added that the 36-year-old would appear in court and be held accountable for causing a road collision, driving under the influence of alcohol and violating court-ordered penal measures. – The police would like to remind you that driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol is a crime for which you are liable pursuant to Art. 178a of the Penal Code. Pursuant to this provision, committing such offenses is punishable by a fine, restriction of liberty or imprisonment for up to three years. However, failure to comply with the driving ban previously imposed by the court is punishable by up to five years in prison – said the policewoman.
