In the state of emergency near Klimówka, a police helicopter crew found the body of a 24-year-old Syrian on Wednesday. This was announced by the spokesman of the Podlasie voivodeship headquarters. The man was in Belarus from mid-September.

The spokesman of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Białystok, Tomasz Krupa, informed on Thursday that the day before, the police helicopter crew, while patrolling the area under the state of emergency near Klimówka, found the body of a man in the field. He is a 24-year-old Syrian citizen. The police said that he had visa documents and had been in Belarus since mid-September.

Under the supervision of the prosecutor, the police are explaining the circumstances of the death.

A state of emergency has been in force on the border zone since September 2. Journalists and activists from non-governmental organizations, among others, are not allowed there. All available information comes from the Border Guard and government officials. The state of emergency, initially imposed for 30 days, was extended by another 60 last week. According to the rulers, the migration crisis at the border is caused by the regime of Alyaksnadr Lukashenka. Belarus’s actions are called a “hybrid war against Poland”.
