Klodzko. The canoe capsized on Nysa Kłodzka. The man is dead

The incident took place after 3 p.m., according to the fire brigade duty officer in Kłodzko – at the height of the closed Kłodzko Nowe railway station. The services received a report of an overturned canoe.

– A larger, organized group from Krakow was flowing down the river. There were two people in the kayak that capsized. One got out of the water and reached the shore on its own. A man in his 60s was unable to get out, the Kłodzko fire department said.

The man was finally pulled out of the water by the rafting participants. A group of visitors, calling the emergency services, had problems determining their location. When rescuers arrived at the scene, they took over the unconscious man and continued resuscitation.

For about 45 minutes, attempts were made to revive the man’s vital functions. Unfortunately, it failed.
