Police officers in Kobyłka near Warsaw recovered items worth PLN 50,000 that were stolen from a horse farm. – For the case, they detained a 36- and 17-year-old suspect of burglary and a 48-year-old fence. The detainees will answer to the court – said junior aspirant Monika Kaczyńska, spokeswoman for the Wołomin police.
At the beginning of July, the police station in Kobyłka received a report about a burglary at the horse farm. According to the victim’s report, the thieves stole equestrian equipment, saddles, a drone, a mobile phone and money.
“Criminal police officers from the Kobyłka Police Department immediately began their operational activities. Just a few days after the notification, they tracked down the suspects of the crime. The trail led to two men, 36 and 17 years old,” the spokeswoman said.
They hid the stolen items at a friend’s property
Together with the officers of the patrol and intervention team and criminal investigators from Wołomin, they went to Zielonka to search the place of residence of the suspects. “They found only a drone and a mobile phone stolen from the stud. During the activities, the uniformed officers found that the men hid the stolen items on the property of a 48-year-old friend in Duczki, where they then went” – indicated the junior aspirant Kaczyńska.
As she added, the police recovered property worth almost PLN 50,000 and detained three men. “The 36-year-old and the 17-year-old were charged with burglary, and the 48-year-old was charged with receiving stolen goods. All the suspects confessed to the alleged acts” – said the policewoman.
She concluded: “For theft with burglary, the Penal Code provides for a penalty of up to 10 years in prison. For the crime of receiving stolen goods, the maximum penalty is even five years.”
