One front and one electoral list are two different things – said Lena Kolarska-Bobińska, former Minister of Science and Higher Education, in the TVN24 TVN24 program “One for One”. In her opinion, at the moment it is impossible to talk about one list in the opposition, because “people are simply tired of it.” – The slogan of one list must be forged into a slogan of cooperation in various fields – she argued.
United Right can count on 31 percent of support, which is 3 percentage points more than a month ago – according to the latest Kantar poll for “Fakty” TVN and TVN24. The support for the Civic Coalition, for which 26 percent of respondents now want to vote, has decreased. They would still go to the Sejm ConfederationPoland 2050 and Left.
“This is a temporary increase in support”
Results polls Lena Kolarska-Bobińska, former Minister of Science and Higher Education, commented on the “Jeden na Jedno” program on TVN24.
– This is a temporary increase in support (for the United Right – ed.). We cannot assume that all the time until the elections, over the next 7 months, the opposition will continue to grow (support) and PiS will fall, she said. She added that “in February public moods improved a lot.” – This already heralded an increase in satisfaction and this translated into support for PiS – she assessed.
Kolarska-Bobińska noted that “PiS had had about 30 percent support for many years before it was in power.” – It was their hard, traditional electorate, more rural, small-town, less educated – said the former minister. She added that “in polls, the party that governs always has more votes than the opposition.” “This is a pattern we’ve been observing for many years,” she said.
“This is not an electorate that looks at what is happening at the National Center for Research and Development”
Kolarska-Bobińska was also asked about the results another poll recently conducted by Kantar for “Fakty” TVN and TVN24concerning grants from the National Center for Research and Development and the villa plus programme. 64 percent of the respondents gave a bad opinion about these scandals. 17 percent of the respondents were of the opposite opinion.
Commenting on both studies, Kolarska-Bobińska pointed out that “for many months, the entire opposition has had a majority in all polls.”
– Only we all the time expect that this is 30 percent of the faithful electorate, praying, attached, loving Jaroslaw (Kaczynski) will move away. This is not an electorate that looks specifically at what is happening at the National Center for Research and Development. He says: and these are bad, but those were even worse. This melody still resounds – said the TVN24 guest.
“One front and one electoral list are two different things”
The former minister also referred to the proposal to create a joint electoral list for the opposition, an idea pushed, among others, by the leader of PO Donald Tusk.
– One front and one electoral list are two different things. What is absolutely necessary and needed is to show willingness to cooperate, not cold indifference – said Kolarska-Bobińska.
In her opinion, “at the moment you can’t talk loudly about one list anymore, because people are just tired of it.” – The slogan of one list must be forged into a slogan of cooperation in various fields. After all, opposition politicians can appear together, meet and give their electorate a sense of confidence, said the former minister.
In her opinion, “it should be very soon cooperation in various fields.” – People are tired of empty slogans. Now is the time for real cooperation, she said. “Fighting within the opposition will not help anyone, because it will only demobilize the opposition electorate,” she added.
