The longest Polish promenade in Kołobrzeg (West Pomeranian Voivodeship) is looking for a name for itself. Internet users can choose from four options: Morskie Szepty, Bursztynowo, Uzdrowiskowo or Tolerance. The competition will last until December 10.
Regional Cultural Center named after Zbigniew Herbert in Kołobrzeg announced in October a “Competition for the name of the longest Polish promenade”.
The goal was to find a name for the walking and cycling route from the “Muszelka” Sanatorium to the entrance to the Eastern Ecopark, with a total length of 3,160 meters. In this section, three streets: Rodziewiczówny, Sikorskiego and Sułkowskiego join into one walking route.
Internet users can choose from one of four options
“The competition received over 200 proposals from various parts of Poland. After analyzing the applications, the jury decided, in accordance with the regulations, not to choose a clear winning name. It was decided that Internet users would decide on the final name.” – we read on the website.
Down choice there are names: Sea Whispers, Bursztynowo, Tolerance or Uzdrowiskowo.
The organizers stipulate that “if the name Promenada Uzdrowiskowa or Promenada Amber is chosen, the winner will be selected by drawing, because more than one entry submitted the names.”
Everyone can vote in the competition by completing the form available at www.k2029.eu in the competitions tab.
Voting lasts until midnight on December 10.
