A tragic fire broke out on Sunday morning at Młyńska Street in Kołobrzeg. One of the tenants is dead. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the police.
Report of a fire in a pre-war extension to a tenement house at ul. Młyńska in Kołobrzeg was received by the district commander on duty on Sunday, February 25 before 8.
Three fire engines rushed to the spot. The attic was smoky.
Firefighters had to force two doors to enter the apartment. After extinguishing the fire and partially ventilating, they found the body of the tenant. The medical rescue team found the man dead – says senior captain. Krzysztof Azierski, spokesman for the Poviat Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Kołobrzeg.
The deceased was the only tenant
According to the information that firefighters were able to obtain from the building’s administrator, the Kołobrzeg Social Housing Association, it was the only inhabited premises.
The cause of the fire will be clarified by the police.
