A glider pilot from Poznań landed in a corn field in Konradowo in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. Walking along the road, the woman met a police patrol who helped her pull the machine out of the field.

The incident happened on Saturday late afternoon. Two policemen, while on duty on the national road number 12 in Konradowo, noticed a young woman walking towards them, who stated that she had just landed safely in a cornfield and needed help in pulling and transporting the machine to the other side of the busy road.

– The policemen took up the task and helped the pilot from Poznań. Attaching a cable to the tow bar, they slowly pulled the plane out of the cornfield and brought it to the service station area. Although the whole situation could have looked dangerous, nothing happened to the pilot, and the whole action went quickly and efficiently – says Maja Piwowarska, spokeswoman for the police in Wschowa.
