In Konstancin-Jeziorna, police officers noticed that a passenger car fell into a roadside ditch. There was a drunk man sitting in the passenger seat. He said he wasn’t driving. he lied. There was a witness nearby who saw the whole thing happen.
According to Magdalena Gąsowska from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Piaseczno, in the evening policemen patrolling the area of Konstancin-Jeziorna at ul. Pulaski noticed a Toyota standing in front in a roadside ditch. – Uniforms immediately ran to the vehicle to see what had happened and if anyone needed their help. The driver’s seat was empty, a 33-year-old citizen of Ukraine was sitting in the passenger seat, Gąsowska said.
He was over 2.5 per mille
The policewoman further explained that the officers were trying to find out from the man what had happened. This slurred speech, indicating the consumption of alcohol, assured that it was not driving the car, but the driver ran away. – Very quickly it turned out that the words spoken by the man had little to do with reality. In a nearby premises, there was a witness to the entire event, who saw perfectly well both how the vehicle leaves the road and the side of the road, as well as the fact that the driver changes to the passenger seat, Gąsowska reported.
The 33-year-old was arrested and placed in a police cell. A breathalyzer test showed that he had more than 2.5 per mille of alcohol in the exhaled air. – After sobering up, the man remembered what happened that fateful evening. He heard the charge of driving while intoxicated, for which the Penal Code provides for up to two years in prison, concluded Gąsowska.
