A 35-year-old from Koronowo (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship) stole a TV set with which he was walking through the city. His image was recorded by city surveillance. The police had no trouble identifying the man. He was arrested and put in jail.

Police received the report on Thursday (July 6). “It showed that a resident of Dworcowa Street saw a man run down the staircase with a TV. He probably broke into one of the apartments and stole the receiver” – said Commissioner Lidia Kowalska from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz.

The image of the man was recorded by city surveillance cameras. It turned out that the 35-year-old was walking through the city with the loot under his arm.

“A moment later, the man was stopped by a patrol and the TV was recovered. The resident of Koronowo was taken into police custody” – informed the policewoman.

A resident of Koronowo was charged with theft with burglary. “He caused a total loss of PLN 600. He is facing up to 10 years in prison” – summed up Commissioner Kowalska.
