The services prevented the smuggling of nearly 20,000 packs of cigarettes without Polish excise stamps in Koroszczyn (Lubelskie Voivodeship). The contraband was hidden in the roofs of two refrigerated semi-trailers from Belarus. According to the documents, none of them was supposed to contain cargo.
Officers of the Customs and Tax Service from Koroszczyn X-rayed two vehicles entering from Belarus trucks. Both vehicles were traveling with refrigerated semi-trailers.

“As it turned out, after scanning the vehicles, both transported illegal loads” – informs Michał Deruś, spokesman for the Tax Administration Chamber in Lublin.

“The proceedings are conducted by the Lublin Customs and Tax Office in Biała Podlaska” – the spokesman notes.
