A 62-year-old woman died in a head-on collision of two passenger cars that occurred on Wednesday in Kosobudy (Lublin Voivodeship). According to police findings, the 71-year-old driver of the Ford skidded and collided head-on with a Citroen traveling from the opposite direction, with five people traveling in it, including a 62-year-old woman.
According to staff aspirant Dorota Krukowska-Bubiło, press officer of the Zamość police, a report about a road accident in the town of Kosobudy between Szczebrzeszyn and Zamość was received on Wednesday around 1:30 p.m.
The 62-year-old did not survive the accident
It was initially established that the 71-year-old driver of the Ford was driving towards Zamość, skidded, drove into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a Citroen with five people traveling in it, including the driver aged 52 and four passengers aged 31 and 54. , 61 and 62 years old.
The 62-year-old passenger of the Citroen died on the spot. The remaining participants of the incident were transported to the hospital. A police breathalyzer test showed that the drivers were sober.
The police are determining the detailed circumstances of the accident and appeal for safe driving. “Let us remember that the roads may be slippery at this time of year. For the sake of our own safety and that of other road users, let us adjust our driving speed to the weather conditions” – appealed staff aspirant Dorota Krukowska-Bubiło.
