The European Commission does not write laws for countries. A government that says it defends the Polish raison d’état, gets up from its knees, fights with the European Commission, suddenly says that the comma cannot be changed – Elżbieta Bieńkowska, former Deputy Prime Minister and former European Commissioner, pointed out in “Jeden na Jedno”. She referred to the issue of the law on the judiciary, the adoption of which – in the authors’ opinion – is to unlock funds from the National Reconstruction Plan. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki assessed that the adoption of the draft in its original form “gives us a relative guarantee that this process will be completed”.

December 13 last year PiS deputies submitted to the Sejm a draft amendment to the law on the Supreme Court, which, according to the authors, is to complete the key “milestone” for the European Commission to unlock funds from the National Reconstruction Plan.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki when asked about possible changes to the project, on Tuesday he assessed that “It is safest to accept the compromise that has been worked out”. – The lack of changes introduced there, together with the approval by the College of Commissioners, gives us a relative guarantee that this process will be completed – he said.

Bieńkowska: The European Commission does not write laws for countries

Elżbieta Bieńkowska, former Deputy Prime Minister and former European Commissioner for the Internal Market and Services, referred to the case in “One for One”. In her opinion, “just in this situation she is honest Solidarity Polandwhich maintains this narrative about leaving the European Union, and the prime minister and everyone around him are dishonest.” – I believe that leaving the European Union is still in our heads, but for this exit, i.e. winning the elections and taking us out of the Union, we need they have European money, she said.

The former EU Commissioner stressed that “the European Commission he does not write laws to countries.” – The government, which says that it defends the Polish raison d’état, gets up from its knees, fights with the European Commission, suddenly says that the comma cannot be changed – she emphasized.

– The European Commission proposes some guidelines as to how, in their opinion, the fulfillment of the basic milestone should look like – said Bieńkowska. – The European Commission has presented some conditions, but absolutely no one in the European Commission says that they wrote this law, and that this law was written under their dictation, because it is something that neither the Commission nor any normal person can understand, a patriotic citizen of this country, she noted.

– The government knows what to do to make the money at least verbally mobilized. (…) He gives the law, the law goes to the European Commission and the Commission decides whether it is what they expected – she enumerated.
