Of course we need money from the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO). And they will. We are already issuing them – said Minister Henryk Kowalczyk in the program “One for One” on TVN24. He also added that he “enough for bread” and thinks that “all Poles have enough for bread”.
– I am convinced that they will, because there is no reason to block this money. When we apply for this money – said Kowalczyk
Kowalczyk about KPO money and bread
When asked why we have not yet applied for KPO funds, the minister replied: – Because we are now applying for a refund. They have to be spent.
Kowalczyk added that other countries are already spending money from KPO because they “received an advance”. According to the minister, Poland did not receive the advance because “European Commission interferes in Polish affairs” and “necessarily wants to bring about a change of government in Poland”.
– In a few years, in 8-10 years, we will be developing at the level of the European average. Poles will indeed soon catch up with the Germans in their aspirations, said the TVN24 guest.
He added: – I think that this money is needed. However, they are blocked for one purpose. (…) The money is being blocked by the European Commission. (…) Not from today, but for many, many months. If they remove PiS from power, they will be satisfied. If they do not move, they will pay anyway, because there are no grounds for blocking.
According to Kowalczyk, the money from KPO “would be very useful to us”, because “we would have even faster economic development than we have, although we have the highest in Europe”.
Can the law unblock it according to you? I think the law has an effect. However, there is no 100% guarantee that it will unblock it, because the European Commission sets a completely different goal – said the minister.
When asked if the minister had enough to eat bread, he replied: – It’s enough for bread for me, but I think it’s enough for all Poles, because poverty has practically disappeared thanks to the Law and Justice government.
The report from the Noble Parcel shows something else, that poverty in Poland has increased, Agata Adamek, the host of “One for One”, pointed out.
– People can go on holiday, and they never had a chance if they had several children. Now they have that chance, he said.
Suski: I don’t want money from KPO, it’s enough for me to buy bread
PiS MP Mark Suski was asked on Wednesday by TVN24 reporter Radomir Wit in the gardens of the Chancellery of the Sejm in Warsaw, whether he wants money from the National Recovery Plan. – I don’t want money from KPO, I don’t need it. What I have is enough for bread, replied Suski.
– And other Poles, do you think that they would not like local investments with this money at home? the TVN24 reporter asked.
– Sir, the KPO is unfortunately being blocked by our opposition – said the PiS MP.

What about the National Recovery Plan?
The Polish KPO is over PLN 115 billion in subsidies and PLN 50 billion in loans. The condition on the part of the European Union was the so-called milestones, which are related to compliance with the law. Their completion is necessary for the withdrawal of funds.

After long negotiations Law and Justice prepared a bill to guarantee their payment, but this time it was opposed by politicians Zbigniew Ziobro. Ultimately, the bill went to the Constitutional Tribunal, where a dispute has been going on for several months about the term of office of Julia Przyłębska as its president, which makes it difficult for it to gather a full bench of 11 judges. Therefore, PiS is trying to change the size of the so-called full squad. On Wednesday, the Constitutional Tribunal adjourned the hearing until September 7 on the Prime Minister’s proposal Mateusz Morawiecki in this case.
At the moment, only five countries do not have money for KPO: Poland, Hungary, Ireland, the Netherlands and Sweden, but Poland and Hungary are the most objectionable. In other European Union countries, the money is already there, working and supplying their economies. Some countries have even received the second tranche of money.
