Water appeared in the power distribution room at Żeromski Hospital in Krakow – the Małopolska Voivodeship Office reported. Ultimately, firefighters helped repair the pump and the water was removed. There was no need for evacuation.

“Żeromski Hospital in Krakow, ul. Na Skarpie – water appeared in the power distribution room. Firefighters helped repair the pump that the building is equipped with. The water was pumped out. No evacuation or interruption in the functioning of the building” – we read in the published post.

The office also reported a flood that had formed on Podgórze Street in the town of Brzeszcze.

“A flood has formed there on an area of ​​approx. 2 ha in the mining area. It is related to the backflow from the pumping station. There are 3 residential buildings nearby, so firefighters are conducting intensive operations. Water is being pumped from the flood and the residential buildings are being secured with sandbags,” we read in the release.

From midnight to 1:30 p.m. the fire brigade intervened 189 times in the Małopolska province. In Kraków alone – 122.
