A police car escorted an ambulance to the airport, in which the priority signals were broken. The ambulance was transporting a heart for transplantation from one of the hospitals in Krakow to Balice. The organ was delivered to Gdansk by military aircraft.
Krakow traffic police were asked on Tuesday morning to help a specialist ambulance crew. The ambulance, which was supposed to transport a heart for transplant from one of Krakow's hospitals to the airport in Balice, had broken priority signals.

Every minute counted. That's why a police car was sent to the scene to escort the ambulance to the airport.
As the Malopolska police reported in a statement, the heart taken for transplantation was to travel further to GdaÅ„sk by military aircraft. “The entire operation was carried out efficiently and safely,” it was reported.
