A 49-year-old paraglider who fell to the ground from a height of 10 meters on Sunday in Krasnystaw (Lubelskie Province) had almost half a per mille of alcohol in his system. The pilot was taken to hospital.
On Sunday (25th August) there was a paragliding accident in Krasnystaw.
“Officers determined that the paraglider pilot was a 49-year-old resident of the Legionowo district. At a height of approximately 10 meters, the man lost control of the aircraft. As a result, the paraglider fell to the ground. Due to the injuries sustained, the pilot was taken to hospital,” the police reported.
He flew “on double throttle”
The police determined that the man had the required qualifications, but was operating the paraglider while intoxicated. A breathalyzer test showed that he had nearly half a per mille of alcohol in his system.
The exact circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the police.
