Kremlin responds to offensive: Tanks, artillery, missiles and special regime

The Russians have sent additional tanks, artillery and missile systems to Kursk Oblast. On Thursday, Ukrainian forces seized a gas measuring station in the town of Sudzha, in that Oblast, through which Russian gas is sent to southern Europe.

Special measures include the possibility of forcible relocation of residents, restrictions on transport in certain areas, enhanced protection of sensitive facilities and the possibility of using telephone wiretapping.

The decision to introduce an anti-terrorist regime was made by the director of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, Aleksandr Bortnikov, who is also the head of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAK), “in order to ensure the safety of citizens and prevent terrorist attacks by the Kiev regime, which has made an unprecedented attempt to destabilize the situation in many regions of the country,” Russian media report.
