In the town of Lutogniew near Krotoszyn, the Minister of Health, Katarzyna Sójka, hit a cyclist on a pedestrian crossing – the spokesman for the Wielkopolska police, junior inspector Andrzej Borowiak, told TVN24. The minister was traveling in a private car. The cyclist suffered injuries that require hospitalization for more than seven days, so the event will be classified as an accident.

– According to the information obtained, the Minister of Health hit a cyclist on a pedestrian crossing while driving a private car. According to the information provided by the police, the cyclist was riding on a bicycle path and entered the pedestrian crossing – Borowiak said.

The policeman confirmed our earlier unofficial information that doctors classified the cyclist’s injuries as requiring hospitalization for more than seven days, which means that this event will be classified as an accident.

The press spokesman, asked earlier by the Polish Press Agency whether the driver’s sobriety test was carried out on the spot and whether the minister was sober, said: – This is a standard test, we have no comments on this issue.
