“Kriscina Cimanouska landed safely in Warsaw. I would like to thank the engaged diplomatic and consular services for planning and efficiently carrying out her trip. Poland once again shows its solidarity and support,” Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcin Przydacz wrote after the plane landed.

Earlier on Wednesday, Kryscina Cimanouska flew to Vienna from Tokyo at around 3 p.m. The Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that she landed safely and was taken care of. The ministry emphasized that the Belarusian woman must remain in a special zone at the airport until she changes to Warsaw.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria, Johannes Aigner, quoted by the Reuters agency, told journalists at the Schwechat airport that Cimanouska was accompanied by representatives of the Polish authorities during the flight from Tokyo to Vienna.
On Sunday, the Belarusian runner announced that due to criticism of the actions of the sports authorities of her country, she was removed from participation in the Olympic Games in Tokyoand the officers tried to force her to fly to Belarus via Istanbul. She reported to the airport police and, as a result, did not fly out of Tokyo.
On Monday, Cimanouska received a Polish humanitarian visa at the Polish Embassy.
