The local government elections are probably the most difficult for our environment, for various reasons, said one of the Confederation's leaders, Krzysztof Bosak, after the announcement of the exit poll results. As he admitted, “everyone worked without any great expectations.” Candidate for the mayor of Warsaw, Przemysław Wipler, stated that they are “switching from the local government campaign to the European one.”

According to the exit poll, the committees that were part of the government coalition received the majority in the assemblies. However, Law and Justice won the most seats – it won 33.7 percent of the votes.

The results of the exit poll were commented on by the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, Krzysztof Bosak, during the Confederation's election night. – Local government elections are probably the most difficult for our environment, for various reasons. (…) The elections to the European Parliament should be the easiest for us. The European Parliament, European issues, these are our natural topics, he said.

According to exit poll results, in the elections to provincial assemblies nationwide, Konfederacja and Niepartyjni Samorządowcy obtained 7.5 percent. – This is an evening in which those who showed the will to fight can have satisfaction – said Bosak. As he said, during the 2023 parliamentary elections “there were definitely higher expectations” and “the results disappointed many.”

“Everyone worked without any great expectations.”

Now, he stressed, “everyone worked without any great expectations.” – We knew that this competition was very difficult and tough. We knew that all the new formations that entered parliament over the last dozen or so years usually did not fare well in the local government elections. They often did not cross the electoral threshold and did not register their lists, said Bosak.

He emphasized that in this year's elections, the Confederation managed to register lists thanks to an agreement with Non-Party Local Government Officials. – These were long and complicated talks, which resulted in both partners being able to field their candidates in all voivodeships and in all electoral districts – he noted.

Wipler: we are switching from the local government campaign to the European one

Przemysław Wipler, the candidate of the Confederation and the Nonpartisan Local Government Party for the president of Warsaw, also appeared on the stage. – If we defend or improve the result from the parliamentary elections in the local government elections, it will be our great success – he said.

– The result we received is infinitely better than five and a half years ago. Because back then there was no Confederation, there was no alliance of conservative liberals, libertarians, nationalists, conservatives, people who also reached an agreement for these elections with the Nonpartisan Local Government, who were our opponents half a year ago, added Wipler.

He emphasized that this alliance has already given a better result at the forecast level than the one obtained by the Left (according to the Ipsos exit poll, the Left obtained 6.8%). According to Wipler, this shows how much work still needs to be done.

He noted that both KO and PiS, if the poll results are maintained, will not be able to govern in several voivodeships without Confederation councilors. – If we defend or improve the parliamentary result in the local elections, it will be our great success – he noted. – We are not ending the campaign today. We are switching from the local government campaign to the European one, he said.
