He also noticed that the division into poor and rich countries deepened. – The president will actively participate in the works of all these large thematic blocs. He informed that at the invitation of the US President Joe Biden, the Polish leader will take part in a virtual summit concerning the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. There is to be touched there, among others the problem of international cooperation to accelerate vaccination campaigns around the world.

The climate will be linked to an energy summit, the first of its kind in 40 years, convened by the UN Secretary General. – It is supposed to concern the discussion on changes in the energy policy model in the world, which would help to prevent climate change and fight the related consequences – said the ambassador, adding that the meeting would also be held with the participation of President Duda, and that Poland would share its own experiences with the summit participants.
Promotion of Polish companies
Krzysztof Szczerski also presented plans to increase the promotion of the participation of Polish companies in public procurement of the United Nations around the world. – That is why the president will meet with people responsible for the public procurement policy and aid policy in the United Nations to discuss the forms of promoting and participation of Polish companies in tenders – said the permanent representative of the Republic of Poland to the United Nations.
