Neo -Sędzi Krzysztof Wiak is to be appointed by the president as the president of the unrecognized chamber of extraordinary control and public affairs of the Supreme Court – Rzeczpospolita said. He has been in this chamber since 2018. He is associated with the Ultra -conservative Ordo Iuris Institute.
As the Rzeczpospolita daily wrote, the president Andrzej Duda He chose Krzysztof Wiak from among three candidates, which were also prof. UMCS Tomasz Demendecki, prof. UW and spokesman for the Supreme Court Aleksander Stępkowski.
Wiak is to replace as the president of the unrecognized chamber of extraordinary public affairs Joanna Lemańska. Initially, she expressed the desire to apply for another term, but eventually gave up. Her term expires on February 27, 2025, i.e. on Thursday.

Unrecognized Chamber of Extraordinary Control
The Chamber of Extraordinary and Public Affairs was established pursuant to the Act on the Supreme Court of 2017, as part of the justice reform carried out at the time PIS.
