Kunów Commune. Attempted murder charge for 65-year-old who stabbed his partner “multiple times”

A 65-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of his 55-year-old partner, who, according to police, stabbed her multiple times. The attacker was drunk at the time of the incident. He will spend the next three months in custody, facing a life sentence.

The incident – as reported by the police – took place last Saturday (August 17). A quarter of an hour before 10 p.m., the officer on duty at the Ostrowiec police station received information about an injured woman who was supposedly staying in one of the houses in the Kunów commune.

The officers found a bloody woman lying on the floor in one of the rooms of the house. After giving her first aid, the 55-year-old with multiple stab wounds was transported to the hospital.

He hid in the basement

Officers searching the house found the woman's 65-year-old partner hiding in the basement. According to investigators, the man grabbed a knife during a domestic dispute and stabbed his partner multiple times in various parts of her body.

The man had over 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his system at the time of his arrest. The 65-year-old was arrested and taken to a police cell.

The District Court in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski applied a preventive measure in the form of temporary arrest for a period of three months against a resident of the Kunów commune. The man was charged with attempted murder and faces a life sentence.
