Lodz policemen tracked down a luxury car that had previously been stolen in Kutno. The car was tracked several dozen kilometers away. Two GPS jamming devices were found in the vehicle. According to car crime officers, the car was tracked just before it hit the hollow.
A luxury car was stolen from a fenced property on one of the streets in Kutno. The owner estimated the losses at over PLN 380,000. Deputy commissioner Edyta Machnik from the district headquarters of Kutno says that the officers from the criminal department have determined that the vehicle may be located in the Rzgów commune.
– This information was confirmed. On the same day the car was recovered – says the policewoman.
He adds that the car’s license plates were dismantled, and inside the uniform they found two GPS jammers.
– After the VIN, the policemen confirmed that it was a car stolen from the Kutno area – says the policewoman.
During a search of the property, police officers found license plates, car parts and equipment from three other vehicles stolen in October 2021 in the Łódzkie and Mazowieckie voivodeships.
The car – as the car theft officers tell us – most likely was “aired” by the perpetrators.
– The car is left in a neutral place. Groups protect themselves against complicated car tracking systems – tells us one of the officers, who must remain anonymous.
If no one appears near the stolen car within a few days, then it ends up in the “hollow”.
He emphasizes that in similar circumstances two luxury cars stolen in Łódź were recovered. Aston Martin for around 500,000 zlotys and worth over a million zlotys Rolls Royce were found on one of the roads in Konstantynów Łódzki.
